Terms & Conditions - CONSUMER
 
Prices, description and availability of goods
All prices are shown in GBP (Pounds Sterling). All goods are sold subject to availability. Both price and availability information is subject to change without notice, hence any subsequent purchases of the same product cannot be guaranteed at the same price. Where goods are temporarily out of stock we will endeavour to contact you so that you may choose between a refund on the item, having it shipped when it is back in stock or selecting an alternative product. Whilst we take the utmost care to ensure the product descriptions, pictures, information and prices are accurate we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions. No contract exists between you and Cheap Wicker Baskets until we accept the order by taking payment for the goods. We maintain the right to decline orders without giving an explanation. Colours may vary slightly from those shown on the website due to them being handmade products.
 
Sales tax
Value Added Tax at the current rate of 17.5% (VAT) is included in the price of all items and shipping. We do not currently ship outside of the UK and therefore all sales are liable to pay this tax.
 
Payment methods
We accept credit and UK debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Visa Delta, Solo & Visa Electron), cheque or postal order (please make payable to Cheap Wicker Baskets). Payment must clear before we will despatch your goods. Should you choose to pay by cheque, please be aware that your order will be delayed whilst the funds clear into our bank account. We choose not to accept Paypal due to their extortionate fees.
 
Delivery arrangements
You will have the choice when proceeding through checkout to have your order shipped via Royal Mail or Courier. Orders sent through Royal Mail will be shipped first class providing the weight is less than 1kg, or Royal Mail Standard Parcels if the weight is more than 1kg but less than 2kg. For orders weighing more than this it becomes more practical and economical for us to shipped via our courier Interlink Express. Should we use this method to send your goods, we will call you to arrange a convenient delivery date and shipping address as the consignment will need to be signed for.
If you require your order to be delivered the Next Working Day it will automatically be sent via courier, and we need to have your order processed and payment cleared by 11am on the day of despatch. Orders placed after this time will be sent the next working day. Your order will be delivered via our courier, Interlink Express, to the shipping address given. Please ensure someone will be available to accept and sign for the parcel/s. If no-one is available to sign for and take delivery of the shipment at this address and on these days a card will be left by the courier for you to contact the depot directly and make alternate arrangements. We cannot be held responsible for failure of any delivery where a signature is required and unable to be obtained.
Please note that Next Working Day deliveries are not available to remote and offshore locations.
 
Cooling off period and cancellation / returns
We want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us. Our "no quibbles" guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with the goods purchased you may cancel your order and return the goods to us within 7 working days from receipt of the goods, you will receive a refund within 30 days of the goods being returned to our warehouse. It is your responsibility to take care of the goods before returning them, and they must be returned in a state where they can be resold and you are responsible for the cost of returning goods to us. We recommend that you use Recorded Delivery, as proof of shipping is not proof of receipt.

Terms & Conditions - TRADE
 
These Terms & Conditions apply to Trade Only where we supply to Businesses and Organisations.
You must confirm that you are a Trade customer and agree to our Terms and Conditions when you register. All customers will be bound by our Terms & Conditions which are governed by UK law and need to be accepted before you can complete your purchases. Orders placed over the telephone will be bound by our Terms & Conditions automatically.
 
Registration
We offer trade discounts to Business customers, but firstly you must register in order for us to qualify your business status. Please contact us before placing an order at tradesales@cheapwickerbaskets.co.uk and once approved we can allow you access to the trade prices which you will be able to view once you have logged in.

Deliveries are made by our courier, Interlink Express, Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays) to the shipping address given. We will send you a shipping confirmation by email on the day of despatch. When you receive this you can expect delivery to UK Mainland orders the next working day and all UK Offshore, Republic of Ireland and remote destinations within two working days. This is not guaranteed, and we cannot be held responsible for any delays beyond our control causing your consignment to be delivered outside of these times.
 
It is the customers responsibility to ensure that someone will be available to sign for and take delivery of the shipment at this address and on these days. If no-one is available to sign for and take delivery of the shipment at this address and on these days a card will be left by the courier for you to contact the depot directly and make alternate arrangements.
IF YOU DO NOT MAKE CONTACT WITH THE DEPOT AND THE GOODS ARE SUBSEQUENTLY SENT BACK TO US BY THE COURIER, YOUR ORDER WILL BE CANCELLED AND YOU WILL INCUR FURTHER SHIPPING CHARGES AS APPLIED BY THE COURIER FOR THEIR RETURN, IN ADDITION TO A £6.00 +VAT RE-STOCKING FEE FOR ADMINISTRATION.
A refund will be issued to you within 30 days from the date the returned goods arrive back at our warehouse via the method of payment used when ordering, less the carriage costs incurred by us when the order was sent and any costs applied by the courier to return the order to us, in addition to a £6.00 + vat re-stocking fee. If your order was carriage paid and is returned, we reserve the right to reclaim the actual shipping charges incurred by us when the order was sent and any costs applied by the courier to return the order to us, plus a £6.00 +vat re-stocking fee. This figure will be deducted from the total paid by you and the remaining balance will be refunded.
 
Unwanted items can be returned to us within 7 days of delivery. A refund will be issued for the goods only, providing they are returned unused and undamaged. Carriage costs paid when ordering and incurred returning the items will not be reimbursed, and any carriage costs we have incurred over and above any shipping charges the customer paid when ordering will be deducted from the refund and a re-stocking fee of £6.00 + vat will be also be charged. A refund will be issued to you within 30 days from the date the returned goods arrive back at our warehouse via the method of payment used when ordering.
Should your order qualify for free or reduced delivery rates and you subsequently choose to return some of the goods for refund and in turn reduce the actual spend on the corresponding order to below the total spend needed to qualify for the free or reduced shipping charges, we will deduct the relevant amount that would have been applied from your refund. For example: your order is for £200 ex vat to one UK address. This would be sent carriage paid as the order exceeds the £195 ex vat threshold. If you then return £50 worth of stock, we will refund the £50 stock MINUS the £7.95 carriage fee that would have been applied if the order had only been for £150 ex vat initially and MINUS the £6.00 re-stocking fee. Therefore the refund would be for £36.05 ex vat.
However, if you return all or part of an order which qualified for either carriage paid or reduced shipping and has been shipped on pallets, we reserve the right to claim back the actual shipping costs we have paid in sending the goods to you. For example, you may have ordered a large consignment of hampers which would entitle you to free or reduced shipping, but would actually incur shipping charges of a minimum £45.00 to ourselves to deliver the goods to you. If you decide to return them to us, we will claim back from you the actual pallet shipping rates we were charged by the courier, plus the £6.00 restocking fee before refunding the remaining amount.
We reserve the right to recover any shipping costs incurred by us when an order has been shipped and subsequently returned. 
 
Damages must be notified within five days in writing either via email to customerservice@cheapwickerbaskets.co.uk or post to Customer Services, Cheap Wicker Baskets, Beacon Innovation Centre, Beacon Park, Gorleston, Norfolk NR31 7RA. Claims outside of this time will not be considered.

The Buyer must carefully examine all goods immediately upon their arrival. In the event of damage to the goods in transit or any short-delivery, in the case of goods dispatched by Carriers, written notification thereof with the claim must reach the Company and the Carrier by post within 3 days of receipt of goods (such notification also to be indicated on the Carriers own documents). In the event of non-delivery of goods dispatched by Carriers such notification and claim must reach the Company within 7 days of the date of invoice. In the event of a failure to comply with the above requirements; claims in respect of damage in transit, short-delivery or non-delivery etc., will not be accepted by the Company and in no event whatsoever will the Company be liable to the Buyer in respect of such loss or damage beyond which it has been able to recover from the Carrier or other third parties.

Due to ongoing improvement of our product range, please allow for slight variations in colour or design.
All our baskets are hand-crafted from natural materials - therefore please allow tolerances on all sizes quoted. Sizes quoted are measured from the top and outside of each basket, not including handles (where applicable).
